Thank you for your interest in St. Anthony School. Please refer to the application packet to assist you in becoming familiar with who we are and what we offer our students. Opening its doors for the first time in 1912, Saint Anthony School continues its fine tradition of academic excellence, preparing our students to meet today’s challenges. We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement, having met the requirements established by the AdvancEd Accreditation Commission, which is the world's largest accrediting and school improvement organization.
Committed to the Salesian Sisters style of education, our belief is that each child is made in the image and likeness of God and that each child has the right and the responsibility to fully develop his/her intellectual, social, spiritual and moral potential. Our Faculty guides and motivates our students to become self-directed, responsible, respectful and independent learners, who choose to take personal responsibility for their education.
Our standardized test scores are well above the national norm on the Terra Nova Test, our graduates consistently place in honors and advanced classes when they enter the high school of their choice. We are recognized by the Diocese of Paterson as leaders in the area of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) for students in grades PK-8. All of this is further proof that our strong academic program emphasizes the “basics” while making use of the very latest in technology and in the educational sciences. Our teaching staff continues to engage in professional development activities so as to complement their many years of teaching experience. The interest, support and involvement of our Pastor, priests, deacons, parish staff and parishioners enrich our program and make our many initiatives possible. The energy, creativity and expertise of our parents, in conjunction with the far-sightedness of our Home-School Association, have strengthened all aspects of our academic program and provide a convincing witness of the community’s dedication to the education of the whole child.
Our Pastor, Monsignor Raymond Kupke and our Principal, Sr. Emy DeFilippi, FMA, invite you to learn more about our school by talking to our parents, faculty and students and hearing firsthand from them about Saint AnthonySchool.
